Lower the rearend gear ratio to at least 3:73 this will help alot on the low end.If you run 1/8 mile you could go to 3:90 or 4:11. Just watch your rpm.

I have a saginaw 4 speed that i would like to put in a 73 camaro. The motor is a 350 with about 360 hp. the car has 410 gears.I have heard this transmission is not very strong is this true? if this is true...

I had a Saginaw 4 Speed in a 1970 Chevelle with a 396 bored out to 409 and a cam. I took a couple of stock clutches out of it but never hurt the tranny. I used it for a daily driver and some "street fun" for about a year and a half until I spun a bearing, but that's another story ( read Stupid). Hope this helps.

How do I select valve spring for JR Motorsports cam part #prc104?

If the cam info doesn't specify I'd go to the Comp Cams website and find a similar grind. The Comp site will recommend a matching valve spring and I'd go with that recommendation to use with your JR cam.

Good luck.

1979 chevy 350 modded to 383 stroker i have been

Sounds like the engine can't breath,
make sure pcv valve is good,or oil cap is vented.
your engine is building up pressure and has no where to vent,so it blows the easiest thing, the dip stick

Coolant comming out of tail pipes when engine is running? No leaks in engine compartment Chevy 350, high comp, Camle hump/mickey mouse heads. Engine mounted in 1967 Firebird Engine is made before 86, but...

New head gasket gasket needed would be my first guesses. Sounds like vacuum from the intake stroke is sucking coolant around the gasket from the block on the intake stroke. How does the oil look?

My 350 engine has a choke do i need it and why does it stall when cold starting

Yes you do need it. It's purpose is to allow less air during cold starts, and then it gradually opens as the sngine starts to warm up. They make automatic chokes, and manual ones you open and close with a cable.

Need info to rebuild 351 windsor motor 1998

port polish only on heads, they crack plus valve job. on the block and cam, that motors all torque so go with low end output, fat cam, 30 over max on bore-they crack. safest way for big power is a stroke kit. call edelbrock tell them you wishes and what you have now, main thing is how much your gonna have to bore to clean up walls, and they give you some good options. unless you have alota money and dont require this motor to be dependable dont expect more than 320hp and 350 ft of torque. 302 will take you farther cheaper and lighter for your money. if your talking for a car and not a truck- go 302 and dont look back
