Question about 1995 Suzuki Sidekick

1 Answer

My 1992 Suzuki Sidekick Passenger Automatic Window fell into the door and won't work!

This is not a fuse problem! I propped the window up and looked inside the door where I found a white plastic spool, a round metal plate and a screw laying inside the bottom. How do I fix the problem?

There is no way to fix the window regulator. (replacement parts are usually not sold to repair small part of the window regulator). You will have to buy a new window regulator for that car. Some window regulators come with the motor some do not.

2002 power window dodge caravan pass side window wont go up or down. works w/ the main dr side control. where would the fuse be for this component? any other thoughts to fix this cheaply

The only problem with this vehicle is that it needs a new window switch on the passenger side door.If the main switch on the drivers door works and the one on the door that the window won't go up on won't work it replace the switch on that door they all work on the same fuse.

My power window on my 1998 suzuki sidekick suddenly stopped working, is there separate fuses for each window? where can I start to solve this issue?

There is not separate fuses. Insure that it does not work from either the door with the problem or the main drivers control. If it does not, then you'll have to remove the door panel from the door with the window in question. You can check the power at the switch with a meter. Then check the power at the motor with a meter when moving the switch. More than likely either the motor is bad or the transmission (cable and track) is broken. You can buy them separately or as a unit. Very seldom do the wires or switches go bad prior to the other parts I mentioned.

Have you tried replacing the master window switch? Just because the other windows work doesnt mean that switch for that window is good.

The main switch is controled by the drivers door main unit.....i had to use a forward force on my windows switch for it to work....so replaced the whole unit, you could find those on ebay cheap if local auto parts is expensive

1996 suzuki sidekick, power windows and door locks do not operate BUT doors will lock with remote. what could cause this, where do i look??

Your actual switches may have gotten wet, or have gone bad. You will need a jumper wire to test the switches. Remove the switch for each window and lock. Using the jumper wire, see if the each window will go up and down by jumping out each set of contacts. (Make the jumper take the place of the switch) Replace any window or lock switch that operates using the jumper, but doesn't work with the switch.

try to take the passenger side and hook it up to the drivers side then you will know if its a fuse or the window switch it self.
