I assume that you are talking about replacing the master switch assembly. Changing the individual switches can be very frustrating. But, to answer your question, it is actually very easy. It just snaps in. No bolts, no hidden gimmicks to worry about. Just look at the replacement switch, and the tabs on the new one will tell you where to insert a small falt screwdriver to pry out the old one. Just make sure that you do not break the long tab, this slides into the door panel first. Hope this helps, and, if you need any further info, please feel free to comment back. Glad to help, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Power windows got rained on won't go up

Here are some things to check, is the problem in the master switch (the drivers door switch that can control all windows.) or check each door window switch for operation. check fuses. most likely if a switch shorted because of moisture it may have blown a fuse. Here's a long shot.... if the fuses are good, try a small amount of WD40 into the switch in question. ( wd40 does not conduct electricity and will wash out the moisture if any.) The next cheapest thing is to replace the switches, very easy to do. The master switch will be the most expensive one, since it has a control for all the windows.
I have had to replace 2 switches on my "04" dodge ram, the master switch that controls all windows, door locks, and power mirrors ($140.00), and a passenger side window switch, ($26.00).
I hope this helps, please let me know.

Kia optima 2004. back window will not go up

If its only one window - and it DOES work at the door switch - the master switch is bad.
If it DOES have power when the master switch is pressed - look for the motor itself as bad.

Power windows stopped working.

Likely a bad master switch (the main window switch located in the driver's door). All other switches seek ground through the master switch so the effect quite often is the master switch can cause loss of window power on other doors. Given that the driver's window has also now quit makes this switch even more suspect.

Check to see if the "lockout" button on the driver side master switch is depressed. This button, when activated, kills all power to the other 3 windows.

1990 camry power window problem

It is rare that the power window relay will fail. Personally, I would look to see if there is power at the master switch on the driver's door. Anywhere. If the is NO POWER, you have a broken wire between the door & the LF kick panel where the wires come thru the body into the door shell. If there is power, the master switch is narmally the culprit
