One of my headlights went out, so I bought 2 new bulbs (one usually looks brighter after, so I got 2). Switched them out, same problem, highbeams are on as default, low beam when I switch to where highbeams should be.

do you have the right light bulb? i own a 98 sentre and
it takes a 9004 bulb, but walmarts computer said to use 9007. That made the high beam censor stay on till i replaced it. if you look at the bulb you can tell if it is a dual or single beam bulb.!!!!

How to replace the console light in a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE?

Remove cover for storage bin under stereo. One hand on each side and pull towards trunk. Remove cup holder, pull up to remove shifter cover. The light is located under the shift indicator on the left. The black component will pull up but wire for light is short so use caution and try to remove light socket with out fully removing indicator. Light bulb is a #194 or peanut bulb. Pull bulb to remove. Reverse to reinstall.

Turn on the hazard switch to check if the bulbs light up. If they do, the problem is probably with the headlight switch itself.

should be 1 silver phillips head screw on the corner light housing where the housing meets your front headlight housing. once you take that screw out, pull the corner light housing straight towards you, like towards the nose of the car, unclup the harness for the light bulb and your good to go
