Question about 1998 Cadillac DeVille

1998 cadillac deveville

I have a 1998 deville that I parked about four months ago. two months ago I went out and started it and it fired right up. Well yesterday I went out to start it and all it would do is turn over. I checked for spark and I have good spark, But it is parked on a slight hill with the rear of the car down. Could this have any effect on the fuel.

Yes it could and if there is little gas in the tank then gas might not be getting to the fuel pump

1998 cadillac deville stuck in park

Simple thing is that the brake sensor is not reading that you have you foot on the brake pedal. Not sure where it is on your Caddy, however. Check to see if your brake lights come on, on some cars I believe the two were connected.

1999 Cadillac Catera - 103,000 miles - cranks but no fire

Hello carol...from the symptons you describe more than likely it's the CPS (crankshaft position sensor.)
The CPS is a common problem on Cateras with these symptoms.
The sensor is a magnetic impulse type that sends a signal to the computer, the computer then triggers the fire signal. When the CPS gets weak, dirty or has low voltage the intermitten no starts occur. It will finally result in a no start at all...Please be aware that a lot of caddy dealers will and have overcharged customers for this common problem by ill advise and replaceing uneeded componets.
Good luck...i hope this helps and will fixya up.

run the fault codes
indicates a wiring problem to the transmission ( loose harness connectors )
