Alan,

These windows are prone to air/water leakage, especially if the window regulator has been removed or replaced. There are no less than 8 adjustments that need to be performed in a specific order to achieve a tight seal, and to have the door open and close properly. I'm sorry I can't even start to tell you how to do these adjustments in this type of forum. I suggest you try and find a shop that has experience with this type of repair on your vehicle.

How do I correct wind noise on drivers side door / window 1999 Camry?

There may be a torn, missing, or loose door gasket. If you inspect the seal and find torn or missing segments, repair or replace. If the seal is intact, the the most likely cause is a gap in the door seal near the top rear of the door. This happens over time because the door frame can actually get bent slightly outward. It is so little as to not be visible, but you can hear the wind noise. The way to get the noise to stop is to open the door and roll the window all the way down. Then, holding the door firmly, grasp the upper rear corner and pull it inward (toward to the car). A couple of sharp tugs will usually do the trick. I know it sounds silly, but it works. BE SURE TO HAVE THE WINDOW DOWN OR YOU COULD SHATTER THE GLASS!
The door frame is quite thin compared to other car body parts and will bow/bend if you pull on it. Start out carefully and if you don't get the results you want, try again with more force.

Cutting down on wind noise while driving

There's a quick and easy way to cut down some of the wind noise in your car while driving on the highway. Open the doors and look at the rubber seal at the top edge. See how it's a groove? This is to allow rainwater to channel down and off of the car.

However, that groove keeps the door from sealing as tightly as it could, and as a result, you may have wind noise at higher speeds. To fix that, try this:

Go to a hardware store and get some clear PVC hose (aka "fish tank tubing"). For an A4, get a single length about 14 feet long. On an A6, you'll probably need 18 feet to be safe, and a few extra still for an A8. You'll need the hose, a pair of cutters, and five minutes' time.

Starting at the front edge of the groove on the driver's door, press the tubing into the groove, trying not to twist it. Press it in evenly and smoothly, and when you get to the back edge of the groove, cut it off cleanly. Repeat for the other doors.

By using the tubing, you allow the door to seal more tightly, but you still have a channel in the tubing to allow rainwater to drain away, so you have the best of both worlds - a better door seal for quieter driving (and possibly better sealing to keep heat or AC in), and a way to still channel away rainwater:)

While Driving My Nissan Altima there is a static noise coming from the front driver side

Check door and window weatherstripping for gaps and wear that will allow the wind noise.

Can excessive wind noise be fixed on driver and passenger side front windows

There is a new service bulletin for a thicker run channel for the drivers side. I got mine fixed yesterday. Its better though not 100%. Definitely bring to dealer and have them do it. Techline at Kia knows about it.

Yes it can but it takes a trained technician to ID what exactly is the source of the noise as well as special equipment.

I have a 06 Freestar that makes a whistling noise. Very annoying and random. I can't associate it with anything. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all but mostly it does. Never when stopped or going below...

LOL , We had this issue arise before and it turned out to be that when the audio guys at American TV installed the car stereo speakers in our door , they tore the plastic sealing membrane on the inside of the door under the door panel.
To locate the leak you will need a passenger with good hearing .
drive into the wind until the noise starts and have the passenger guess which door the whistling is coming from... remove the door trim panel and be sure the membrane is intact and sealed... pay close attention to the mirror area... as they are prone to leak and cause a whistle...

Hope this helped!

Loud whistling noise while driving.

Does the noise sound as though it is coming from either the front or rear axle and does the noise change as your speed increases. If so it sound as though your axle is whining requiring overhauled if really bad.Common problem
