Question about 2004 Nissan Sentra

2004 nissan sentra

Car stopped while waiting for light to change. Check engine light has been on, but at times will go off. It has been about 2 yrs that when starts, takes 1-3 tries at times before it starts. Now it would not start, when stalled, cranked it about 10 times can hear fuel going in, then started for little bit, then off again, had to do same thing crank about 10 times, then start and take off right away before stalled again. Could it be fuel pump needs replacement?

I have a 2004 nissan sentra 1.8 and the service engine light came on 700 miles from my next oil change.I took the car to a parts store and was told the 122 reading had to do with low coolant or possibly a...

More than likely the coolant level sensor(float) is corroded or stuck so it's reading low. If it's not overheating and heater is still blowing warm air, you can probably still drive it safely but keep an eye in temp CLOSELY! Something you might consider, is having your oil change done sooner than waiting for next 700 miles and have them flush your cooling system at same time - just for peace of mind,

I just read that the fuel pressure regulator on the 2004 Sentra can bleed pressure overnight, resulting in long cranking times in the morning.

check your fuel filter and changing the plugs couldnt hurt. make sure you use ngk or nd plugs for this. i am a big proponent of manufacturer parts. they were designed for the vehicle.

Nissan Sentra "Service Engine Soon" and uncontrolable shaking.

I had the same problem. It was the intake gasket, very common in this model. A $12.00 gasket - Nissan wanted $1000.00 to install it. I got it done for $327.00 - engine light still remains on but car drives just fine.

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON YESTERDAY BUT MY 2004 NISSAN SENTRA

hi, most of the time when these lights come on, its because of some sort of sensor failure. if you are not experiencing any noises or tapping in the engine compartment, this is only a failed sensor. you will have to get it diagnosed by the computer to know what specific sensor it may be. i suspect maybe a O2 sensor or egr valve. this is minor but, you Will need to get this repaired if possible.

2005 Nissan sentra puttering.

It may not turn off the check engine light, sometimes those have to be reset. The issue of the car sputtering could have many causes. I would first check to see if you have loose plug wires or cracked wires. Check for cracks by putting the car in a dark area and looking at the engine while it runs. If you see sparks coming from the wires, it's time for a change. If that cures it, stop there. If not, move on to the plugs and check them out.
