Fitting a portman car alarm cannot find location off central locking interface to connect alarm wiring (checked behind both kick panels)or can it be connected to the door lock switch on the drivers door

I bought a used 2000 eclipse gt and can't get the alarm or door locks to work. I checked the fuses and relays and they work. checked the voltage and its reading 12 volts. I can manually lock the doors but not with the remote. For some reason I can lock both doors on the passenger side using the key. but not the inside switch on the passenger side or driver side with the key or using the switch. Checked and cleaned all the grounds to. When you try to lock the door from the driver side it makes a weak attempt to lock but doesn't. I tried to reprogram the remote connecting 1 and 4 on the data port with the doors shut and locked switch on and off. Nothing. I checked the alarm horn and it works. I have no Idea where the brain box is. The door switches are good trunk and hood switch are good too! The car came one key and viper remote. ezsde1476 is the fcc ID. My computer is lent out so any Ideas? I like I said can't locate the brain. The headlights don't flash either. The lead is also connected to the battery. No loose wires either.

In my x-90 door lock box is just above fuse box, near ECM. Colour is pale brown ca. 9x5x2cm.

Write me if You still can't find this - i'll make photo.

I have a problem looking for door trigger wire - it should be black/red - i digged through both kick panels and cant find this.

My central locking on my 1997 vw golf just stopped working it sounded like it was trying to work but now does nothing. also the gas tank cover wont open as its stuck on lock...any advice on what i can try?

the gas flap is operated with the central locking, stand at rear of car with tailgate open, just inside to the right, under the floormat you will find the central locking pump.but first renew the batteries in the remotes then unlock the car with the key and hold the key over for 30 secs, the windows may go down,
then lock the car with the key and hold over for 30 secs, the windows may go up and the sunroof,if fitted will close, then unlock with remote button held down for 30 secs, this will reset alarm/central locking.
if you need to get to gas flap, pull carpet away in boot behind flap area and pull wire to unlock....

Try to check wires to the driverside central lock master motor. alarm installer probaly cut wires inorder to link the alarm to your cars central locking system.

Central lock master motor usually comes with 5 wires, two is the motor supply wire capable of reversing its polarity depending on lock or unlock request, the remaining 3 is just a swtich. One is ground and the two are negative request swtich for lock and unlock. If all fuses were good this moght be the problem, try also to check the outside fuses- in the hood. Good luck!

Central locking

hi there

i had a major problem with my central locking. it would lock with my key but then wouldnt open. the only way i could get in the car was by manually oopeing the driver door but that still meant the the rest of the doors were locked. I managed to buy a relay from ebay and open up my general module . thats the white box thst sits behind uyour fuse box in the glove compartment. it a tricky job as the relays are soldered on and it took approx 30 mins to remove each and replace it.

I have had no problem since
