Question about 2005 Chevrolet Impala
Me and my brother were installing a aftermarket head unit and we went to put the dash face back on and we took the key out and when I went to put the key back in the ignition won't turn, but the steering wheel is not locked. What should I do?
On some GM cars you couldn't just replace the radio with an after market, because the radio is also part of the computer, controls the theft system and the door locks and much more, you have to buy an extra adapter that bypasses the old module, otherwise it will lock the car down, you should try to put the old unit back in and if the car starts up like it should, if it does you need to go to a larger radio shop and ask for the bypass module for the radio i think its like 60 or 70 dollars
