Jetta 4 2.3 v5 heater does not work, only blows cold air

Hi, if the temperature gauge read zero then the thermostat is gone.
If it's just no heat and the gauge on the dash is reading normal coolant temperature then it may be the Coolant Temperature Sensor. If the heater core was gone there should be a leak inside the car somewhere. Hope this helps

Wher is the coolant sensor fpr a 2010 focus

Clear the code and drive the vehicle. If the code comes back, then you know it's real condition and not a one time event.
Changing the temperature sensor isn't going to remedy the situation. Most likely the thermostat will need to be replaced.

The radiator fan on my 2003 VW Jetta GLS won't turn off for a long time after the key is turned off, even if the car engine is cold. Is the sensor switch a possible cause? If yes where is it located

Coolant temperature sensor. Located on drivers side of the cylinder head, facing the fire wall, can be a little hard to see. Follow the upper rad hose to the plastic housing, the temp sensor is on the back of this housing. It should be green, if it is black it is definitely the problem. Not to hard to change, just hard to get your hands back there, take off the air cleaner hose to get easier access

When truck has been sitting and cold crank it up driving down the road it acts like it wants to shut off its a 5.2 . once it warms up though it dosent do it

2 things to check. Coolant temperature sensor, ( located to left of AC compressor) and air temperature sensor (located in intake behind alternator) I'd be leaning toward air temperature sensor first.

Hi

this sounds like an air fault, most likely cause will be the air flow meter or also known as a MAF sensor. you can clean this and often they work again. this is located within the air pipe system, has a plugged wire going into an air pipe.
