Question about 1995 Eagle Talon
Ok, other than a tranny rebuil (lol) what can i do? my car is not still covered under warranty like urs was trust me i tried lol
Couple different things if it is doing the same thing mine was doing you can try buying a ECM at salvage it cost about 100.00 dollars or buy one off of ebay which is usually the same price but wiht a warranty, or you can take it to garage and have them put it in and they should be able to tell you for sure if it is bad they might have to keep for a while till it happends it cost about 300 to 400 dollars. But from what you said in your comment, it sounds like what was wrong with mine.. If you get the serial number off of the ECM you can match up with one on ebay and you can get one possible for about under 150.00.
My Talon is a 95 and If you think you can do it yourself ECM is located bewteen the head light and the battery (driver side) under the hood it will have a bunch of wires in a harness that plugs into the ECM with a bolt holding the plug in place. The only reason the garage did mine is because it was under warranty. If you let it go to long soon the computer will just go bad and you won't be able to restart the car.
