It may be the anti-theft system. My expedition was doing the same thing.

I had same problem, car felt like it was not getting gas. It would start ok sometime but would not at other time that was real annoying! I disconnected the air filter harness and car started on first attempt! I replaced air filter and car is starting ok, now. I am keeping fingers crossed that this fixed the problem, time will only tell.

If it works fine when warm replace transmission filter and fluid. the filter is probably blocked and when cold gets no fluid through it. if this was helpful please leave good feed back

2002 ford expedition rpm not right

DId the Check Engine light ever come on?? Normally with such a major problem the check engine light should of activated in which case you can take it to a Autozone or most auto parts stores adn they can plug a Code reader into your system download the codes/messages and it should pinpoint or at least point you in the correct direction as to what is causing your issues.
I have had to do that a couple times with my 2005 Chrysler T&C due to a O2 Issue, and a Catalytic convertor issue.

My 2000 expedition feels like it's out of gas and wont start when it's hot weather

Can you get any codes out of it..You said it wont start when its hot..So that means it will start first thing in the morning? Does it go dead while driving?Anyway is possible to drive it to advance or autozone,,if so they will scann it for free..If you get any codes it might help find out whats going on

2000 ford expedition wont start no power to fuel pump, but fuses and fuel relay good

It could be, but it may be something else. You should obtain a wiring diagram and back-probe the wires until you find where you are no longer getting power. Did you try resetting the inertia switch?

Ford expedition 2000 acts like it is missing , oil light comes on and of when this occurs.

CHECK OIL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 20 - 45 PSI @1500 RPM OR 40 - 70 PSI @1500 WHEN ENGINE RUN ROUGH OIL LIGHT COMES ON YOUR OIL LEVEL LOW OR OIL TOO CONTAMINATED.YOU NEED TO CHANGE OIL FILTER AND OIL.LOOK AT THE COLOR OF THE ENGINE OIL,LOOK MILKY COOLANT GETTING INTO OIL.SMELL OIL IF SMELL LIKE GAS FUEL INJECTORS DIRTY CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK DOWN INTAKE WHEN ENGINE OFF.

2000 Ford Expidtion, has not been used for about 4 months. When trying to start it, it as if its not getting gas. started it once with either and it ran. took it for a drive, came back turned it off, when...

Your gas could be bad from sitting for 4 months. If you can get it started again, try running the gas down as low as possible and fill up with 90 octane (premium) gas and a can of gas treatment. This is the easiest thing to check 1st. If it continues, could be your fuel pump going bad.

apply a light force to the gas pedal and start the car continuing to regulate the rpms with gas pedal if you can make the car idle with the gas pedal then you will probably need a new idle air control valve

99 ford expedition 4.6 misses / egr? vacuum?

it's getting to much egr the egr has gone bad and needs replaced.
the diaphragm in the egr is leaking, and default position for air is defrost.so when you hit 3000 rpm you don't have enough vacuum.

2000 Ford Expedition wont start

On the engine there is a tube that supplies fuel to the fuel injectors, on that tube there is a valve, like a metal tire valve, this is the fuel pressure test port, you will need a special guage to check the pressure that screws onto that valve, Kragen and other parts stores sell this test kit, it is very inexpensive, about $20.00, but cheaper than having a shop do it for you, if you do the test and you have no pressure while cranking the engine then your fuel pump is bad, the pump is in the gas tank, a big job and dangerous due to chance of fire if you are not cautious.
