Question about 2003 Ford Windstar
My wife drove our 2003 ford windstar to work and parked it no problem. When she left the car started but the transmission would not engage in any gear, forward or reverse. I could see the shift rod moving under thge hood. The car runs but just will not move. Can you give me an idea what the problem is so i can make a suggestion when i take it to the dealer for service.
Check your transmission fluid level if at all possible. If your fluid is low you won't be able to engage any gears as there isn't enough pressurized fluid to shift the clutch or selector in the transmission box. If that's fine, next check the selector link and check it is connected to the transmission (not totally unheard of for it to come loose). Still no joy then it's the clutch...sorry.
