When i start my jeep it stutters for a couple of seconds and then goes normall. also when i add gas right to the floor it wont change from first to second gear untill i back off the revs, it hits the rev limiter and stays there (this is a automatic) i have put new plugs, ht leads, cap and new crankshaft sensor in.

Check the level and condition of your tranny fluid.
Check the level with the car running, in park.
The fluid should be a pink or bright red color.

It could be that it might be as simple as a kickdown cable adjustmant.
SOURCE: My jeep will drive normally
maybe the speed sensor on the transmission monitors transmission speed and sends info to computer to control shifting not sure if this is helpful

The condition you reported is either a control problem or "flaring" both are pressure related. I suggest you have a reliable trans shop test drive it. If it's a control problem (late shifting) there are external adjustments that can be made. If it is flaring, that is internal and may require a rebuild.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the help. We still do not know exact problem but are going to try some tranx to hopfully break down any varnish or junk then replace fluid"

Check your transmission fluid level. If the unit is low, the oil sloshes away from the pickup and a burp of air runs through the unit causing momentary slippage. if you go around the same turn slower that doesn't happen. In rare cases an internal shaft bushing or seal can be bad and the shaft can move having the same result...but as I said, that's rare.
