Question about 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
Replacement of your fuel filter depends on your habits more than the truck, if you often drive the truck and let it get lower than 1/4 of a tank, you should probably change the filter about every 8,000 miles, if you are one of the few that know what kind of damage it does by running the tank low, and never run with less than 1/4 they i would say as long as you put fuel system treatment in about every third tank you shouldn't have to change it but every 15,000 to 20,000 miles, but that also depends on where you fuel up at, smaller stations that are more likely to get water when it rains is always a killer on your pump and filter, try to stick to the larger newer stations, your truck will thank you for it. and i would say don't worry about buying a pump for just in case, because i have seen them last 200 and 300 thousand miles if taken care of properly.
