2003 jeep no heat

I have a 2003 jeep cherokee and the heat is not working. Heater core is good.  I have checked the anti-freeze and that is full.   This is a zone heating system. The air conditioning works fine.

If it blows cold air when its on heater. 90% of the time its your blend doors. i've replaced it myself. it was a *****. you basically have to take out everything from your car. you could try going to heatertreater on ebay.com but i recommend taking it to a place that'll do the labor at a cheaper cost. another option is take it to the dealer have them find the problem and call chrysler to see if they'll cover the charges even if your not under warrentee. almost all jeeps have this problem.

So, my 2001 V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is very slowly leaking coolant. I replaced the heater core in 2009 and the symptoms that the Jeep expressed then are not happening now. However, the low coolant...

are you mixing the coolant with water if yes,you need to just put straight up anti freeze ,because water evaporates at high temperatures .. also keep resorvoir full at all times there is a sensor in the tank that when is low it makes the check coolant light come on ,,....good luck

When i turn on the heat, I smell antifreeze right away then it goes away

Your heater core is leaking. The heater core on your 2001 Jeep Cherokee is responsible for providing heat in the cab of your Jeep. Overtime, he heater core can become plugged with dust or corrosion and stop working causing it to leak. The heater core is linked with the antifreeze that runs in the radiator in turn draws heat from the engine and than uses that heat to warm up the car. Most heater cores are located under the dash on the passenger side. Here is a link for how locate and remove the heater core. http://www.ehow.com/how_5332477_remove-jeep-cherokee-heater-core.html

Good luck! :)

Heater immediately fogs all windows and there is a sweet odor in the cab of 2003 Buick Rendezvous, defroster works fine, but will not clear the windows after heat is put on

Sounds like a possible heater core failure(hole in it) the smell indicates to me the coolant(anti-freeze) is leaking into the passenger compartment.
Check the carpet in front of the front passenger seat for moisture, this would confirm heater core leak.
Good luck !

My fan works and a little heat comes out after the jeep runs for awhile. i checked the anti freeze and flushed the heater hoses that go into the fire wall but it still isnt working and i checked the...

Did you back flush the heater core? IOW flush it both directions. Are the hoses getting warm/hot. If so you may have a problem with the blend doors. A very common problem with these vehicles. Involves dash removal.

2000 jeep grand cherokee v8/heater core

Yes it's the heater core, It's a complicated diy job and unless you are an experienced mechanic you are going to need a good workshop manual for the job.

Best of luck.
