Could be your fuel pump or your coil packs not giving out any spark

1998 jimmy turns over wont start

Check the throttle body. I had a GMC and it did the same thing, had a mechanic check it and throttle body went bad all of a sudden.

2005 jimmy turns over but will not start

I would have the battery tested. If that is not the problem.i would have the starter tested. This can all be done at a parts store. The other thing would be a fuel related problem, such as watered down gas.

2000 gmc jimmy starts in AM fine won't start after sitting in sun all day

Can you jumper the fuel pump and make it start and continue to run ?
Have you checked to see if you are getting spark when it won't start ?
Could be a relay or coil, ignition module, or other component.

Turns over ok wont start.ran ok last night this morning wont start. new clutch last night and brake lines.

While doing the clutch you more than likely unplug the fuel pump wiring harness or the crankshaft sensor and this wiil cause the truck not to start. Check under the truck for a unplugged wiring harness and reconnect it and I am sure your truck will start.

WILL NOT START

sounds like water ingress to either a control module or the coil pack, check all control box locations eg footwells for water and then check the engine bay for loose or naked wires, dry and clean and possibly cover with a plastic bag etc and it should be fine.

I don't know the answer to this question, but all I do is disconnect my battery everytime I have issue with my Jimmy and it seems to fix the problem. I don't know if this is going to help you or not but give it shot. disconnect your battery for 5 minutes and see what it will do.
