the fuel filter could also be the problem. If it has been more than 12,000 miles u have to change it anyways. If it's been more than 20,000 miles then u take the IAC out, as per auto manual instructions, clean it and put it back in.
    Hope this helps.

Check for oil leak(s) underneath the car...this might be messing up your electrical connections.
    also Check the distributor.
the Exhaust Gas Recircuation (EGR)valve. A Malfunctioning EGR valve can cause 1 or more of the folloming syptoms: 1) Detonation, 2) rough idle or stalls on deceleration. 3) Hesitation or surge. 4)Abnromally low power at wide open throttle.

    Have your fuel injectors cleaned.

it could also be Ignition control module but before replacing that Check for fuel pressure and spark then go from there.

My 94 grand prix se stalled on me today and wont start. just before it stalled the engine was puttering and hesitating. Also the oil light and oil pressure light came on but there was plenty of oil in the...

This could be as simple as being out of fuel. This is why I'd check this first:

When an engine is about to stall, the oil light may flicker on and off or stay on due to the engine not running fast enough to supply sufficient oil to the case for sensor detection.

Since this opens up a whole world of possibilities ranging from simply being out of fuel to a faulty in-tank pump not supplying fuel to the EFI, I'd advise you to have the car taken in for a professional diagnostic.

Furthermore, since this very well could also be an internal engine issue (i.e. bad oil pump that's caused poor compression over time due to excessive wear of the rings and cylinder walls), I'd not attempt to run it until a diagnostic can be done. Better safe than broke.

Stalling out

One indication of the Coil failing,,is the car will idle nicely,,but will **** out when under hard acceleration.
This can also be caused by non functionaing alternator,,and dead battery.
