Question about 1996 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The bulb behind the fuel guage behind the glass dash panel has gone how do I change it? Seems as if I may have to remove the whole dash board and do`nt know how to do that either.
Go to the dealer or shop online for a set of dashhooks or instrument cluster hooks. There should be two elongated holes on either side of the instrument cluster(on the black trim). You will insert the hooks, turn approx 90 degrees and pull the cluster out. Unplug the cluster from the back(don't worry, if you have the steering wheel all the way down and out from the dash, it will clear it). Then flip the cluster and take out the corresponding bulb(use some needle nose pliers). They just twist loose and yes you will have to go back to the dealer to get them.
