The clutch can sometimes be very difficult to bleed and diverse methods tend to have more success, such as reverse bleeding.
In this instance, assuming the clutch pedal, return springs and so forth are in good condition, it would seem the clutch master cylinder is probably faulty.
engaging?
you meant dis-engage im sure.
pedal up is engaged,
pedal at floor dis-engages it.
my guess, is the clutch drags unless i push the clutch pedal 100%
to the floor.
1: bad cable is 90% cause. non last this long.
2: no free play is way too loose.
3: broken lever on the pedal top. caused by #1
Your car has a hydraulic clutch release system, it is defective, either the master or slave cylinder is leaking or pulling in air and this causes the clutch pedal to go to the floor.
CABLE IS FOR YOUR SPEEDOMETER. SLAVE CYLINDER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. EVEN IF IT HAS FLUID.JACK UP THE TRUCK AND PUT IT ON STANDS OR RAMPS. REMOVE THE CLUTCH INSPECTION COVER. HAVE SOMEONE PULL THE CLUTCH PEDAL BACK UP AND PRESS IT AGAIN. IF THE THROW OUT BEARING DOES NOT MOVE ITS THE SLAVE CYLINDER FOR SURE.
there's also a clutch slave solenoid which typically sits on the firewall,. it's sort of like a booster to the clutch and would cause the problem you are experiencing... to locate, find your booster and follow the lines... Best regards Ck
the first thing that i would check is the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. It is just like the brake system. When there is not enough fluid or if there is air in the system this can cause the pedal to go to the floor. If this is ok then a portion of the clutch MIGHT have went out. Let me know if the hydraulics are ok.
