Question about 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier
I have chevrolet cavalair 1996 my problem is the one plug of the engine is not working it is givivg the current not continiuosly and also the engine is very hot when i drive the car
Do you mean a spark plug is not firing? How do you know that? If that is the case try replacing the spark plug... the overheating issue could be a number of things, check all your fluids/coolants and make sure all hoses in engine bay are intact and connected. Best thing would be to take your car to a place that will do a free diagnostic like AAMCO. The clearer your question the more specific answer i can give... hope this helps :)

Normally whe nthe car is running the engine is hot, if it is very hot, it might be your thermostat, the radiotr and or the lead may not be working, better off going to a mechanic not here

To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.
