SOURCE: 98 s10 cranks but wont start. Checked for spark and fuel press,

Yes It does. There are (or should be) toggle switches to reset security alarm. However, the ignition hot lead passes through the security relay contacts. This relay may be the culprit, in that if it does not pull when ignition key is turned; The start relay will not pull disabling fuel pump and spark.

2006 cobalt.replaed starter relay fuse all lights come on dash ect. fuel going to fuel pump but wont crank over

Are you positive the battery is good? Did you try to jump it ? Make sure all cables are clean and tight. When you say "won't crank over" do you mean the engine doesn't turn at all? If not, I don't know why you think the fuel pump would be the culprit. If it cranks and doesn't start, I don't know why you replaced the starter.

Disconnecting the battery doesn't reset the light. You need a scan tool for that unless you get lucky and fix the problem and go through enough cycles for it to go out on it's own.

Take it to Autozone or Advance or somewhere and have them read the codes. They do it for free for you. (They are hoping you will buy parts there) They can reset the light as well.

Hello You will have to reset your fuel pump switch located passenger side right foot kick panel when you press it it should stay down if this does not work your probably looking at a fuel pump not working.

Car wont start...checked everything..altinator...battery..starter..cant find problem.

If it has spark at the plugs, then it may be the fuel pump relay, or a fuse going to it, the relays are in a box under the hood they should be marked, check them w/ a test light.

'93 4 cyl accord periodically won't start

that sure sounds like a voltage drop through the battery cables. could be a drop to the fuse box causing low voltage to engine sensors. i dont see the cam sensor causing your problem if jumper cables fix it. you need a multimeter with a min/max setting connected to both ends of one of the cables while cranking. anything over a half volt from one end to the other is too much and it would need replaced. do this on both pos. and neg. cable, including cable to fuse box. check batt. voltage while cranking. these fuel injected engines are very sensitive to voltage and if its too low to certain sensors it wont start. cam sensor controlls fuel injector timing via ecm, crank sensor controlls spark. it would be more helpful to me to know weather it is spark or fuel you aren't getting while cranking. hope i helped you and not caused you more questions. keep me up to date. dustang
