Question about 2001 Ford Escape

Ford Escape wont run

For last week it has taken two attempts to get my vehicle started but then seemed to run without any noticeable problem. Today after work it would turn over easily and idle if I kept my foot on the gas. As soon as I took my foot off the gas it dies. Any ideas?

Many possible things it could be but first thing I would check is your alternator. I would suggest that you get the car towed to somewhere like Aamco and they can run a free diagnostic for you.

Car turns on and off every 10 seconds after I use the remote start

Aftermarket remotes don't last to long. Good ones, about 7 years. I have never put one in, But have taken hundreds of them out. Eventually your remote will die completely and won't let you start the vehicle with the key.

Still waiting an answer to my 2005 XLT ford escape gear challenges

if you are talking about the transmission then the trans needs to be flushed a simple drain and fill is not enough the torque converter holds a lot of fluid and if it is cold where you are maybe frozen.auto trans fluid can mix with antifreeze.

Passenger side airbag light wont stay off

This subject is covered in the 2006 Ford Escape Owner's Manual starting on page 116 under the heading of "Front Passenger Sensing System". I highly recommend that you read this FIRST.

If you do not have your 2006 Ford Escape Owner's Manual you can get a free PDF version HERE. (direct link to file)

If after reading the Owner's Manual, you are convinced that the problem is a malfunction (not normal operation) and is not caused by operator error, I recommend that you take your vehicle to a certified auto repair technician (or Ford Dealer) for diagnosis and repair. I DO NOT recommend attempting ANY KIND of do-it-yourself diagnosis or repair on any supplemental restraint system components without the proper training and equipment.

2008 Ford Escape will not start. Wipers, dash lights, etc are good. Turn the key sounds like it might turn over then nothing but a clicking sound. Getting tired of all the problems with this vehicle. Just...

it`s most likley a flat battery not sending enough amps to the starter motor if batery`s good the check starter motor but also check leads for any corrosion from the battery to the starter motor if all else fails i find a very big hammer helps :p lol
