2002 626 heater mode selection illumination
Everything works fine, but at night with the lights on there is no illumination behind the two rightmost mode selector switches (feet and feet/defrost so I can't tell in the dark which button to push. Do I have to replace light bulbs and how do I get at this area? It's hard to believe a fuse would cover only that small area.

No Dashboard lights on 2000 MPV. All other lights ok.

    • All fuses ok.

    • Fuse cover lists no fuse for these lights specifically -

    • Radio & Transmission position lights, but goes out once i turn on parking lights

2003 Mazda Protege with only 55K miles - none of my dash lights work. All of the fuses are fine. My lighter stopped working about a year ago - and if I replace the fuse it just pops again - so there is an electrical problem somewhere.

Also EVERY door handle has fallen off (literally fallen off - in fact the back door was closed from the outside, and the inside door handle fell off).

The drivers window motor and regulator had to be replaced already. AND - here's the worst - - the catalytic converter had to be replaced. I was stranded on the side of the road after the converter apparently failed, clogged the O2 sensor, etc. $950 dollars, and a Cat Converter under warranty later.. and 2 more door handles fell off, and the dash lights stopped working!

you know how you can tell if a Mazda is almost paid off... read above. :(

I'm having the same problem and I'm trying to figure out what it is. I even thought it was the light bulbs which I replaced, but still the dashboard won't light up.

When the fuse for the taillights is blown on a 2000 Mazda MPV (which is under the hood--#10) then the dash lights don't work and the alarm for the headlights left on doesn't work either. You would think this would be in the owners manual!!!

My tail lights and dashboard lights don't work?

First thing to do is to check out the fuse for them. If you have your owner guide it will tell you we're and which one it is. If it the fuse and you replace it and it does it again you might have a short in the wiring

I can`t find the fuse for the dashboard lights on my 2000 jetta.

First, make sure it's not that your dimmer switch has been turned all the way down.
Check fuse 22 and 23. If they're good then you may have a bad ground somewhere. Check the board and fuse box under the battery (yes, I know - but thats where vw located it) for corrosion.
