This may be due to a bad neutral safety switch, is this car automatic or manual transmission?
If automatic try to start in neutral and if manual try to locate switch on clutch pedal and use a jumper wire to jump connector for switch, NOTE; If switch is jumped car will start in gear with pedal not pushed down and car will take off so this is just as a test not a repair!!!!!, good day
A good hot battery shoulde do it. Have you had any problems with the security system? That's all that should keep it from starting now. Have you put a socket on the crank bolt to make sure the engine is not seized and turns freely? Good luck.
When you turn your key to start
your engine, it just clicks, right? If so, more than likely this is due
to a bad battery. Even though your battery may appear to be fully
charged, it may have a dead cell, or worse. If you get a jump, does the vehicle start? If so, replace your battery.
Possible sources of the problem if the engine does not crank or the relay clicks:
if it doesn't turn over, its the battery or the starter.
Don't think that because the lights and radio work that the battery is good. Lights and radio need 15 amps; the starter needs 200 - 300 amps, and the battery may have reached the end of its useful life
if you turn the key and engine fails to budge ,are you getting a clicking sound as if their is life from your startermotor ,if so maybe your solenoid is sticking which is part of your starter. give it a tap with a hammer .if it doesnt cure the problem than your starter is faulty. or even select nuetral on your transmission and try then.
try resetting the computer with three separate ignition turns, yet dont actually engage the starter motor. just click the ignition to where it lights up your dash gauges, then click back to the off possition. try this three times
