If I am not mistaken that is the code for the engine temp sensor, it kind of works as a choke, it tell the computer the ngine temp so it can lean out the fuel mix. I think the code says engine is taking too long to warm up. A faulty sensor will read -40 C all the time

Check engine light comes on, but computer shows no problem?

Do not shut off the Van and check the lights.... Did you have your Transmission serviced lately? Common problem with this transmission.

Your problem could quite possibly be an internal issue with PCM/ECU

Take it to Autozone and let them check it to see what code shows up. They wont clear it for you, but you can do it your self by disconnecting the negitive battery cable and reconnect it after 30 minutes.

You should definitely replace the fuel filter though this probably won't fix your hesitation. It wouldn't hurt to replace the spark plugs this is usually the culprit on these engine. I have the same engine in a '99 caravan and found the for some reason the spark plugs on cylinder 3 and 4 loosen up after one year and cause a misfire between 45 and 50 mph under load (when mildly accelerating).
