Question about 1999 Volkswagen Passat
I have a 1999 1.8 t passat and my BRAKE light is stuck on... does not beep at me but is on... and yes my ebrake lever is down..... let me know what you think.
I would guess that maybe the button on the e-brake sensor is stuck pushed in and therefore indicating that it is engaged. The e-brake sensor is by the e-brake and has a little button on the switch that when pushed in turns off the e-brake light, but when the e-brake is lifted the button is popped out from the switch, and therefore enabling the e-brake light to appear. So what may have happened is that the button somehow stuck open and therefore is giving the reading that the e-brake is engaged. That's all i can think of whithout looking at it...hope this helps, good luck
