Re: ENGINE SHAKING REAL BAD WHEN IT IDLES
Sounds like you have damaged the engine, you will need to have the engine checked for a blown head gasket, this is not a new engine, but it will be expensive to fix if the gasket is blown, which I suspect it is.

The only thing you need to change for the heating issue is the radiator. The engine shaking sounds well isf I were you I would get a diagnostic check. they can plug it to a machine and it will give off some errors that might point to whats wrong..
I don't know what is involved with replacing the water pump (how much stuff do you need to remove). Overheating an engine can cause a lot of different things to happen, from damaging temperature sensors to cracked blocks/heads. If you think the security and rough idle are related, the only thing it would be is a ground wire issue (which may have been disconnected to replace the water pump). Other than that, the two problems would not be linked together. I would check vacuum lines, ground wires, and spark plug wires first.
That mechanic wasn't lying. I currently own three of them and I know a lot of people that own them and they all have a rough idle. The engines are internally balanced and they don't have dampeners, so you get the engine vibration transferred to the car and that is what you are feeling.
Probley no harm driving it,and hard to say if he would have noticed the problem, but if it went bad that quick, after he installed the belts, you would think he would have.I assume you are talking about the idler pulley not the idler arm, that would be on the steering.
Hello there, As far as the check engine light I would think since you mentioned it shacking that your light will probably be on for a misfire, Meaning most likely you have a spark plug wire going bad. I would stop by somewhere such as Autozone for a free check to tell you why your light is on just to double check.
Your fan issue could be several different things such as the fan motor going bad or the blades could be rubbing something, that one is a little tricky without hearing it.
Good Luck and I hope this does help you some. Allen
If that is the best answer they could give you sounds like you need a new mechanic.
The idle on this car is preset if it has started idling high look for a vacuum leak. there is a reason it is too high you will probably regret messing with idle as it can screw othe options up as well.
