The is a series of really helpful illustrated books on vehicle repair called Chilton repair manuals. They can be purchased inexpensively at any parts house. Each one is for a specific vehicle that you can keep around for any repairs you made need to do along the way. Many libraries have them to check out as well. Our library here has Chiltons on just about any make and model car which can be checked out for free. Lastly, you can purchase on line diagrams at www.chiltondiy.com for a nominal fee. I can suggest a way to find your starter as well, but you really should have a repair manual to help. They often are a bit tricky to remove. Have a friend turn over the car, if the starter has failed they usually make a single loud click that you can usually isolate by sound. I recently repaired a vehicle where I did this similar listen and find, except I had someone listen while I made the bad starter click. NOTE: When you have removed the old starter and are getting ready to install the new one - be sure the neg. pole on your battery is disconnected. Many a starter has been fried by folks trying to install with the battery hooked up. Take your time save all parts and you will have success. Money saved: $150 - $200 in labor and up depending where you go! Good Luck!!!

How to change rear wheel bearing on 2004 highlander

The poster did not specify AWD or FWD. 1st answer was for an AWD vehicle, 2nd answer was for the front hub.

For a FWD vehicle, remove the rear wheel, caliper and disc. Disconnect the ABS sensor if applicable and remove the hub assembly. Replace the hub assembly and reassemble in reverse order.

How do i replace the starter on a 2007 toyota tundra 5.7

on the 5.7L Tundra the starter is located under the vehicle not under the intake. On previous models yes it was under the intake but that was with the 4.7L. I know this because I am currently having fun with an 07 5.7L starter. I've done the 4.7L starter so I know that I am correct

How to replace starter?

Turn the car off and disconnect the battery. Lift the car with a jack and place jack stands under the frame of the car. Block the rear wheels to prevent the car from rolling backwards.

Locate the starter and remove the wires connected to it. Mark them so you know which is positive and which is negative so you can reconnect them accordingly.

Remove the bolts holding the starter in place. There are usually two or three bolts holding the starter.

Pull the starter out of its position and remove it from the car. Some other parts may need to be loosened or removed for the starter to be removed from the car. Remember what parts are removed or loosened.

Put the new starter in the car by installing it the same way the old starter was removed. Tighten the bolts slightly, connect the wires to the starter and then tighten the bolts completely.

Replace any other parts in the car that were removed or loosened. Lower the car from the jack stands, remove the blocks from the rear wheels and reconnect the battery. Start the car to make sure everything is working properly.

Where is the starter located on a 1990 Nissan Pathfinder FWD

The starter is located at the rear of the engine on the bottom left, There are 2 bolts and wires bolted on, remove the battery cable off the battery before going after the starter, that way way you don't short it out removing the wires in a tight spot. The starter is heavy and bulky, don't let it drop, hope this helps.
