Question about 2006 Suzuki Forenza
My check engine light is on and some time a little box with a x pops up and my take off is hestitated it feels as though it is jumping into gear
The transmision range sensor is the problem basically when it is faulty it sends false gear signals to the ecu the ecu gets the trouble code from the trans ecu and you r trans goes into fail safe mode causing it to only operate in third gear which would cause the very slow acceleration where it seems like its in nuetral basically you need to replace your trans range sensor

Run a test on the engine control computer and see what the code(s) are stored. The indicator you mention I have no clue, have you checked the owners manual? We have no automotive tech material at fixya, still to new a service.

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.
When the Check Engine light is turned on the computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible faults that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free.
