I went to another shop, and the mechanic find a low level oil in the gear box, that help to get a better speed, but they dont know how much oil should be added.

    Thanks a lot,

I would say that your turbo is over boosting, variable vain turbos do have this problem with carbon build up,you can take of the variable vain actuator rod and try to work it,if it feels really notchy then you turbo is u/s and not the n75 valve, let me have more details of your car and i will be able to help,if you live in the uk near canterbury i will help you by looking at it

Help please, my vw golf 1.6 sr is loosing mad power. it wont accelerate properly and the revs arent going past bout 2000rpm, rev counter sits below 0 when idling?? it takes ages to even get up to 30

IF YOU SEE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING LOOK FOR TURBOCHARGER WASTEGATE REGULATOR VALVE FAULT OR MAP SENSOR FAULT.THAT COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM.IF NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING YOU COULD HAVE A RESTRICTED EXHAUST SYSTEM BAD TURBOCHARGER, RESTRICTED FUEL FILTER.ALL THOSE THINGS WILL CAUSE POWER LOST.

I have a 2002 subaru wrx with sti package (whatever that means). i bought it like that about four years ago. i am good with getting regular oil changes and tune ups. last tune up was last spring. this...

hi this sounds like it could be a faulty throttle position sensor as these usually cause the sensor to think the throttle is closed/half closed when it could be wide open or other way round so best bet would be get that checked at a garage, a tune up usually wouldnt include testing that unless specifically asked for and if it gets regular tune ups/services i would rule out a fuel filter problem. Hope this helps in some way, as for the sti they are the hardcore version of the wrx they come with bigger turbos, semi forged internals, remapped computer, better suspension, air intakes and a short shift gearbox and so on, let me know how you get on

2005 2.0 tdi code 16618?

16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)

It could be the N75 valve or a Mass Air Flow sensor.

Check out the forums @ www.tdiclub.com -these guys know their diesels better than any VW dealership on the planet.
