Question about 1990 Plymouth Sundance
Hi, my mechanic said i need a new timing belt, and i dont want to pay him for $400 in labor, so i am doing it myself. i just need to know how to do it. and also how do i replace the water pump?
There are two different engines. One takes the higher cost timing belt and extra work to actually get back on the road. The other takes a $150 to $200 including labor (If I remember correctly). So have him double check to see what engine (using the VIN#) your car really has before ordering the belt.

I recommend that you go to your nearest auto parts store and get a Chilton's or Haynes repair Manuel for your specific vehicle. These manuals will walk you through step by step and show you how to replace these parts and most other parts.
