Car key I lost my key and I want to change a new key. I need diagram how to remove the old one.

without the key you cannot change the barrel on its own ,,,if key lost then order a new one ,if the steering lock is defective then you remove then renew the whole assembly ,you will need to cut the old one off unless you can tap the security retaining bolts around anticlockwise .

It's not too tough... But be careful ... First open and remove plugs... Then remove the chip from backside.... Now you can out..... Then do just opposite work for in...

New keys with cylinder may not have a transponder chip , or new keys will need to be programmed. you will require two keys equipped with proper transponder for your vehicle, and either new keys cloned with the old transponders. If you have lost the original keys , you will need someone to remove the original keys from the pcm , than marry the 2 new keys to the pcm. If you have an original key , try placing it by the lock cylinder when attempting to start with the key supplied with the new ignition cylinder.

You cannot its that simple you need to chenge the whole steering lock you cannot change the barrel without the original key

My 1992 Chevy blazer s-10 starts and then the door locks automatically starts locking and unlocking...It wont stay running either...

You don't need to buy anything but a key. Just take your VIN # and proof of ownership to a Ford dealer, and they can cut you a new key, as can a good locksmith.

Why are you taking out the old one. Check with any good locksmith. If your door key fits the ignition, you can easily remove a door lock cylinder and the locksmith can make you a new key!!! I'm pretty sure to remove your lock you need to turn it with the key in it (but you don't have one)

if you have an original replacement key assembly, then all you have to do is remove the old key assembly, transfer the rear electrical ignition switch to the new key assembly and your done.

no need to transfer or solder any wire. if you have a replacement part which is not an original, then it would be very difficult to trace the wires unless you have a knowledge in voltage testing and using a volt meter.
