Hi...
I'm A mechanic. And I was involved in a problem like this. With the same kind of vehicle.
And Finally a Found the problem. On my Case was the Coolant temperature sensor.

Maybe on your case is diferent but You don't loss nothing Trying .
In the morning Try to start the Vehicle if no run.
Go at front under hood, and disconnect the ECT Engine coolant sensor.
Is located at the front of the Engine Beside of the Thermostat housing.
After you disconnect go try to start if run ok. Replace the sensor with a new one.

I hope this help on your problem.

Thank you for use fixya...

What is the fuel pressure when this happens? You may have a defective fuel pump inside the fuel tank, it is bleeding down and this causes a loss of pressure and hard starting cold.

there's a main relay or fuel pump relay located under the dash on driver's side. this relay goes bad all the times. it usually goes bad when you leave the car in a hot sun, next time keep your window down to see if it will start.

the first thing i would do is have the computer scanned for codes, these codes may help in your diagnoses,it could be a crank sensor, or a control module, next time it doesnt start check and see if it has spark,

Heater

it may be the thermostat but let it sit for about 5-10 min in the morning and let it warm up if that dosn't help then check the blower motor and or heater core.
