Buy the book for the car at pepboys or your local parts store and then you'll know where everything is

2002 Dodge caravan overheating, gage spikes up to hot, but were not seeing any fluid leaking besides when it gets hot steam comes from cap. found crack in radiator so we replaced and changed thermosta

I would check the fuses first then the fan relay , if you find two identical relays you just have to swap them to determine if there any good , if the fan starts working then get a new relay, if the fan still won't work then replace the fan thermo switch (usually located in the bottom part of the radiator facing the engine) if the fan still wont work then replace it. The best way to test the whole system out is to start the car and turn on the air conditioner (and blower fan) this should turn on both your fans, if the fans dont come on , check the fuses, relay and then fan motor then thermoswitch

No heat changed thermosta what else could it be.

When engine is warm is the top radiator hose hot, can you squeeze it ?
If not then you may have a bad head gasket.
Please let me know.

I need to change the thermoustat in my 2004 rendezvous I see there is very little clearence to remove it what all is involved to do this task

the thermostat is usually located on the top of the engine where the coolant hose goes into the engine thermosta is uner this hose i had a 2003 rodezvous but never had to change the thermostat so I could be wrong abut the loctaion of thermostat but on most vehicles that is where it is located if it is where i said you must release clamp make sure it is cold try to catch coolant in a small container so it does not get all over engine will not lose a lot just what is in hose then remove housing bolts and remove thermostat also you must replace gasket on housing as well ,this is a must

I need to change my thermostat

Follow the hose from the top of the radiator. It is under the hose where it connects to the motor.

Cant locate my thermosta

FOR EITHER ENGINE(2.2I4 OR 2.7LV6) THE THERMOSTAT IS LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE ENGINE ABOVE THE TRANSMISSION BELL HOUSING, AND NO IT IS NOT VERY HARD TO CHANGE. YOU WILL HOWEVER NEED TO REMOVE THE AIR INTAKE TUBE AND POSSIBLY THE AIR FILTER BOX TO GAIN ACCESS
