The lights are being turned on by your BCM or Body Control Module. It's located under the driver's side knee bolster, but it will probably have to be taken to the Dealership to hook up their DRB III to ascertain as to why the BCM is turning on all of your lights.

SOURCE: 2007 jeep compass, 21000 miles,

leased? take that thing back and dispute that it is not safe to drive. they need to do a complete check up on that vehicle. it could be as little as the the dash malfunctuning, to brake broken and 4wd broken. which idk how that would even be possible. at 21000 miles it may still be under warrenty and there is prob something writen into the lease about problems like this. please go to your dealer

2007 Jeep Compass I have a ESP and ABS light on my dash, what can I do

Abs light comes on when a fault with the braking system is sensed usually a wheel speed sensor or sensors one to each wheel ESP uses the same sensors for traction control so start with the wheel sensors but get the codes read to find out which sensors are throwing faults could also be the connections or wiring to the sensors

On the instrument panel, lights for abs, 4wd, and esp stay on

  1. check fuses 1st.
  2. scan it next !
do tell DTC errors, do not skip this step or its impossible......
if the ABS is not showing abs parts bad, then the brakes are bad.

Abs light stays on and the esc indicator light also but when you start it it shows it off

the operators guide shows what these mean and what to do.
lost that>? i have one, and 08 JK.
pages 105 to 116
it resets each drive. the opr guide says that, and does.
its a very complex system, you should RTM.

ill quote your missing pages.
ABS:
If the light remains on after start-up or comes on and
stays on at road speeds, it may indicate that the ABS has
detected a malfunction or has become inoperative. The
system reverts to standard non-anti-lock brakes.
ESP:/TCS
The ESP/TCS Indicator Light (located in the instrument
cluster), starts to flash as soon as the tires lose traction
and the ESP system becomes active. The ESP/TCS Indicator
Light also flashes when TCS is active. If the
ESP/TCS Indicator Light begins to flash during acceleration,
ease up on the accelerator and apply as little throttle
as possible. Be sure to adapt your speed and driving to
the prevailing road conditions

is this clear? if not ask more, questions , more specific and we can peel the onion deep as you want.

http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_esp.htm

read page 7-2 here (the do not drive words)

If the vehicle speed is greater thanapproximately 30 km/h (19 mph), the ESP systems (other than ABS) will turn
on automatically and the light will go out.
• When the transfer switch (if equipped) is
turned to the "4L LOCK" position, the

ESP systems (other than ABS) will be canceled automatically. The light will come on and stay on.
• If the ESP systems operate continu-ously such as when driving on slippery roads, the traction control functions of the ESP systems may be canceled temporarily to avoid overheating the brake pads, and the light will come on. After a short period of time, the ESP.

How do I turn off abs on a 2009 jeep compass

question is why you want to turn of a brake safety feature, if you are refering to a light on the dash it usually means this system has malfunctioned and will default to "normal" braking rather than anti lock, best to have a shop check it out reasonably soon, you are safer with ABS.
