Changing wiper blades on 2005 Jeep Liberty

Being a totally incompetent soul, this task has become impossible for me. Simply, can’t figure out how to release the clip and free the old blade and put on a new Bosch 19”.

Take it to a canadian tire auto centre or a wal mart auto motive express lube and either one will shoe you how to do it or do it for you.

We have a 2005 Mercury Monterey Van and my husband has changed wiper blades for years. ahe tried to change the blades on this van and couldn't figure it out. Have the newer cars made it more complicated to...

Hello, there are different types of mounts for the wipers. Most of my Ford and Mercury products have a U looped end on the wiper arm. There is a button on the wiper and you push the plastic button and slide the wiperblade off the U bracket.

What is sometimes tricky is the wiper arm goes through and underneath the new blade. When you slide the new blade into the looped end it will lock.

Autozone will install for free and Walmart is kind of neat. Walmart will install free and you pay the same price for the blade as off the shelf.

There are other kinds of mounts. I have seen POST mounts which are simply a post on the end of the arm. But there are different size posts. The plastic clip is removed to these and the blade simply lifts off. Then reattach the clip.

Worthy of mention. Put wipers on and turn off ignition when the wiper is conveniently stopped at a place where you can easily reach them. Some wiper arms can be lifted and they will stay lifted off the glass for service.

How to install back wiper blade

If its a problem with the connectors , then use the original connectors, if that does not fit, then you have the wrong blades for this car. Hope that helps

Go to autozone and buy a wiper blade. Ask them to help you install it. Usually they will do it for you. Walmart will sometimes do it for you too

Windshield wipers go full speed on intermittent setting

Sounds to me like the person you talked to was probably just a service writer who has no clue. That would either be a body control module malfunction, or a bad wiper switch. The wiper switch would be a more likely cause.
