Question about 1985 Chevrolet K2500
My motor has been running sluggishly for a couple of weeks, then it quit. Whe you turn the key on, the fuel pump is supposed start before you turn the motor over. Nothing on the pump. no power to the pump, and no ground to the pump. I tried this with the key on, and also with someone else turning it over as I held the tester to the pump wires. I ran a live feed, and ground, both from the battery, and the pump will pump. A wiring diagram would be nice, but also does the live go to a relay, or fuse? Even so, that doesn't explain no ground. I am stumped. Lots of help would be apprciated, even a diagram.
Thanks so much
Try finding a good ground, first, if you're still not getting voltage, check the fuel pump relay under the hood.
