Rover 25 - won't start

Just had my W Registration Rover 25 1.4 16v for a week. It wouldn't start last night. Lights, radio etc all working so don't think it is battery. Turns over but won't start. There is an odd whirring noise that seems to come from the back of the car, any help appreciated

The sound coming from the rear of the vehicle could be a rear fuel pump that has gone bad. It might also be possible that you have a shut off switch for your rear fuel pump. It can be reset (usually found in the wall of the trunk just behind the beauty cover on the left. If this is not the problem see if you can have a friend help spray a small amount of starter fluid into the intake on top of the motor . Usually part of this intake has to be dissasembled so you will need someone with some repair experience. If the motor starts briefly then you know that you are not getting fuel to ignition. At that point you can check to see if your fuel pumps are working. Also if you are really lucky you could simply have a blown fuse that is tied into your fuel pump. Check this also. You never know. Good Luck

Brake light? Some bad connections to light sockets if bulbs not burned out. Of course you will need help to see brake light when brake is pushed.

My 2003 range rover won't start radio come on lights work but the center moniter says code any ideas

No idea here to be honest i think you have two seperate problems here so firstly try entering the radio code as i think you have disconnected the battery ,now as for the non starting then look in the book that came with the vehicle and their should be a code for the key to reprogramme the immobilisor where you turn the key in the lock so many times to the left and right to release it and only these vehicles have this except some rovers which are now defunct as you no doubt know .

Does the starter spin? Has the battery been load tested? Are the battery cables clean and tight on the the battery posts? Check all this and you will likely find one of them to be the problem.

Land rover discovery series 2 How do i plug in to the wirinng harnes from a after market stereo to the factory harnest from land rover i cant get sound from the speakers

it is a possibility that it can't be done that way, after market radios usually have to be wired into the wiring harness they don't just plug in for the simple reason vehicle manufacturers want you to use their radios & equipment NOT after market radios etc , you may have to get a auto radio installer to fit it for you otherwise if you don't know what you are doing it could be more costly in the long run......hope this helps......cheers.
