N. alternator The cart presents a fails as if not stubbier sending the alternator, i will send to review and apparently this good, it was command to check the computer and wiring and this good, according to the mechanical tells me that what he reaches land to the alternator, would like to know where they are connected the land that could harm the alternator

Door warning light comes on,and seat belt light as well for no apparent reason

Your probably going to need an expensive scan tool to figure this out. I am going to guess that one of your door switches is starting to fail. When the problem is present it will be fairly easy to review the door sensor state (open/closed) for each door with all the doors closed. If one shows open that that door will need to be checked.

The dealer or any good independent repair shop will be able to help you with this. There will likely be a fee involved for this service.

ill detail the 3L40 ,3sp first
the PCM/ECU commands TCC lock up.
the RELAY on the right front fender closes, sending
12vdc to the transmission, TCC PIN, and inside the TCC
solenoid opens. sending hydraulic fluid to the lock.

make sure the transmissions ground strap is present and not missing or damaged.

the newer car, about 1995, Suzuki removed part 6 above.
the pressure switch, (just short the wires there)
TSB revisions.

Kia rio 2003 alternators burning up?

Check Alternator Voltage regulator if it fails it can send up to 18volts to the battery and make sure your battery is not too old usually most batterys will fail after around 2-3years causing the alternator to work harder . Also check your fuses someone may have put a wrong fuse somewhere. Don't buy a used alternator. Good luck.Student Mechanic LWIT Kirkland

you can look this obd2 trouble code table, it can help you understand the meaning of code.
and may be problem:
1). Overdrive solenoid failed
2). Open or shorted second solenoid circuit, or loose connector
3). PCM failed

apparently they are throwing parts at it. The circuit is probably bad. try to see if they can go into active commands and command the car to shift gears while on a test drive. If they can't get that brand new shift solenoid to turn off and on when it needs to, it's probably a problem within the circuit going to it.

the PCM rarely fails, so i doubt its that.

I have changed the camshaft position senson several times on my 05 Neon and now replacing it doesnt do any good. im getting an intermittent camshaft positon circuit error. how do I test the wiring and what...

I never had a problem with the cam sensor in my neon, drove it for 10 years. However, the O2 Sensor fault tends to send a signal that a bad Cam sensor is present and if the timing belt is lose or jumps that will send a false code. The timing belt on these uses a spring tension device in the 2000 to 2003 and a hydraulic tension arm in the 2003 and later models. The hydraulic tension assembly tends to hang and allows the timing to be erratic. Not enough to throw it off all the time, apparently when the belt pops it comes free, but that is all it takes to through the cam timing off and that causes the computer to send a fault signal or random misfire signal. Look at the Timing belt after replacing the O2 sensor if the O2 replacement doesn't resolve the problem.

My 2005 Impala Gas Guage is showing full all the way to the right. It doesn't move even when the gas is all gone.

It could be a defective sending unit inside the tank, a defective fuel gauge/instrument cluster, or the MOST LIKELY cause would be a fuel gauge sending unit circuit that is shorted to ground.
The instrument cluster can be easilly diagnosed or eliminated as a possibility by connecting a scanner and accessing the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and commanding the fuel gauge up and down with the computer. Also the IPC and/or Body Control module can be checked for fault codes that may lead to the cause of the problem. If the "Service Engine Soon" or "Service Vehicle Soon" light is on, you can BET that there are fault codes present. There also may be fault codes present that will not cause these lights to be illuminated. To be honest, a thorough scan of your entire onboard computer network is where I would BEGIN diagnosis.

P.S. I did do a search for Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) related to your description of the problem and found none. This is not a common problem. (No published "quick-fixes")

Sudden full electrical power failure. no indications of alternator/battery failure. a whisp of smoke came up thru the center of the dash

some wire etc probly burned-do a good chec under hood for any abnormal connections and make sure fuses are correct # for each circuit--alternator shud be tested cause the voltage regulator may have failed sending a surge--a mobile scan of system is helpful

The electric fan operates all the time on low speed. Is there a normally open or normally closed sending unit causing this problem? CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS? Every morning the battery has run down due...

If the radiator cooling fan is staying on all the time then this is the sign of a failed fan relay. The cooling fan relay is located under the right headlamp assembly.

The oil pressure sensor may be failing. I'd confirm this before driving; hate to see that it was the oil pump (these hardly fail though) Several things that could be done: go ahead and replace the sender unit or, what I'd recommend, remove the sending unit and get a pressure gauge on it to visually check the pressure. If the pressure shows to spec then you know its the sending unit and replace it. This approach will let you be most confident the pressure is in fact OK.

Engine oil light is showing on the dash board after switching on

Most important thing you need to do is to establish the actual oil pressure. put a mechanical gauge on the engine and read real oil pressure. If pressure is low (min is 15psi, I prefer to see at least 20 at idle) there is an internal problem...bearings etc. If pressure is good, sending unit has failed...replace it. I would not drive it 'till the oil pressure is verified as being safe. You might get lucky and someone just forgot to plug in the sending unit, but it must be checked!!!

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
