My 95 3000gt,sometimes while driving, will lose power and die.for no appearent reason.i lose all dash lights, but door locks and radio still work,as well as the ignition,it turns over but it seems theres no spark.it will come back alive just as it died for no appearent reason,it won't bump start, and when it dies,it doesn't sputter, choke or nothing,it just dies, dead in the water.sometimes it it will fire back up while im still driving, but usally i have to pull over and wait, and keep trying with the key until it finally starts, almost as if theres some kind of breaker switch or something.can you please HELP!!!
Under dash by right knee is the diagnostic port. fashion a piece of electrical wire 16 to 18 gage is fine on one end use a paper clip with one leg straightened out the other end of the wire should be fastened to a ground source (there are numerous bolt heads fastened to the firewall) with your key in the OFF position insert the straight end of the paper clip into the No.1 position on the diagnostic port, with a paper and pen in hand turn the ignition key to the ON position, NOT the start position. Watch your Check engine light it will blink in a series of codes what you will likely see are code 23 and 24 which represent cam and crankshaft position sensors it is highley unlikely they are the issue, the clicking heard is the fuel pump relay located under the center console passenger side it is clicking because the ECM is resetting itself, why? the capaciters used in the ECM either leak or lose their "goodie" I've found the hotter and longer the car runs the more it "acts up" Codes are a series of long blinks then short ones two long then 3 short as an example of 23 they will repeat themselves over and over until you turn off the key.

WOW That's weird and bad!
there should be lots of thing to be check on your car.
starting from battery, fuses, relays, solenoid to spark plugs.
fuel line, filters, and injector/carburetor.
if only your car looses power while driving then your fuel filter could be blocked. check and remove any dirt/blockages.
if starter (starting) fine, and car start normally, check the spark plugs.
