All the lights came on (question etc...) I immediate when toyota dealer and dignostics was done by repair dealership and they said I had transmission failure MG1 and MG2 and they wanted replace transmission for $4700.00- I refuse because I think its early for transmission to fail this quickly. The had regular maintainance and odometer 119K only. I just drove the car away from the dealer and car seems to running fine without the suggested repair and lights are all off. I would appreciate any infomation you can give me thanks,

The ABS system is in need of immediate service. The hard pedal is the ABS/Hydraulics malfunctioning and beeping to let you know. Could be a sensor or module maybe a wiring/connection issue but have it serviced ASAP . A bad vacuum supply to the booster or booster diaphragm can also cause a hard pedal and any could light the warning light.
This car is a 2006 prius at 182, miles on the clock with stock everything, original transmission and engine.Only routine maintanence done so far.It is used as a cab 24/7.It has a toplight and a taxi meter installed (of course)
Here are my symptoms with the video.
When i start the car,the instrument panel (speedometer, gear panel, fuel gauge) does not light up.
Putting the car in reverse , the backup lights wont turn on and the back up camera wont work.
It has a taxi meter and it gets signals from the transmission,it does not charge the right amount for the distance.A ride that costs around $28 would only be around $10 when this problem occurs.
not being funny but your not hanging the handles of your handbag over the gear shift as i know that my wife has done this in the past to prevent anyone opening door when at stanstill and trying to snatch the bag away .other than that you must keep onto the dealer as you have spent a lot of money with them so they owe you a service ask about having a diagnostic device installed whilst your driving so if it happens again it should be recorded on the diag device, they will say it already has that function which is called OBD but this does\'nt always save aand record the code for realtime problems which is what i would class your one as .I really was\'nt being rude with my first comment hope i did\'nt offend you ,let me know what dealer says about diag device and dont take no for there answer
It's a year old. Take it to the dealer immediately and have it repaired under warrantee. Don't wait too long or they might say further damage was caused because you didn't get it looked at immediately.
Looking at the age of the vehicle - I would not invest $5000 in it.
Look in your local business pages for second-hand parts dealers, and get a quote for small garages to do the work of replacing it.
Chances are you will find a low-milage transmission for $250, and pay around $200 to have it installed - so for $450 you're good to go again.
If this was a younger vehicle, then yes I would go through dealerships to keep the logbook perfect; But at this age it's only 3 years off it's designed lifetime, and 10 year old vehicles are very low priced.
I had the same problem. I removed the relays from the fusebox under the bonnet/hood (top left side) and then replaced them. All working OK now. Sometimes I have had a problem when I start the car (especially after rainy day) the petrol engine immediately dies and I can only drive in electric. I have found that if I turn the ignition off and then restart it and immediately pump the accelerator it makes the engine run OK. Hope this helps.
