Sounds like maybe water is getting in some where in the fuel path. excess water in the gas will make it really doggy and lag power.

1995 Firebird After Running Low on Gas

You have most likely sucked residue in the bottom of the fuel tank into your fuel filter, This can cause it to get blocked, Try fitting a replacement fuel filter as it's most likely it's never been changed anyway.

Tapping sound when I start the car which gets louder with acceleration

This may be a pulley or somthing that is running with the start of your engine. If its a tapping sound that gets louder as you accelerate, that is usually a valve noise or somthing internally. This is a very bad thing if the noise is comeing from the engine inside under the valve cover. If thats the case then check the oil level and take it quickly to an auto repair shop for a diagnosis. Another culprit as mentioned in the beggining is a pulley that is either loose or out of round, whick does not cost to much to replace.

Hope this Helps!

How to reset my oil change light in a 99 firebird 3.8

You do this via the trip odometer. With engine on, push in and turn trip odometer to the left and hold for about 5-7 seconds. The light will start blinking, keep holding until the blinking stops and you should be good to go.

Why does my 99 firebird run good and then when I give it gas it just wants to sputter and no power?also from a dead stop in reverse no power. Most of the time though it runs fine then it happens again??

Do you get any check engine light? If so, read the code(s) and pursue to repairs. The symptoms sound like fuel pressure problems or maybe water in the fuel. Put some gas guard or similar in the tank and drive for a while to work it through. With luck, that may get you running again. Change the fuel filter.

Car stalled while running

Check under the back seat for an access panel to the pump. Might be the pump or just the level unit. Good luck.
