I would suggest you join a audi forum on line and pose the question there, also owners manuals are available on line for about $40

You probably have set the SPEED CHECK button by mistake. The light and the accompanying beep only come up when you reach the set speed to remind you that you are now driving over the limit that you have set (in your case by mistake). To reset/cancel this, drive below 5MPH and then press and hold the button, or, as soon as the light comes up when driving, press and hold the button, it will go off. ...been there ...done that, the little button on the botton side of the WIPER lever

Is there anyone out there that has a 98 Lincoln Cont. that has the Check Tranmission light come on Passed 72 MPH? If so how do you fix it?

There are some items to check:

1. Check the transmission fluid level to be sure it isn't too low or too high. The vehicle must be parked on a level surface, be warmed up and be running (idling) to check the fluid. The fluid should be dark red and not have a burned smell. If the transmission fluid is milky colored and way too full, it may mean that there is an internal leak in the transmission cooler tank inside the radiator.
2. When was the last time the transmission fluid was changed? Check your owner's manual if you have one and see what the recommended fluid/filter change intervals are.
3. The transmission cooler lines - look for any kinks, damage or leaks. If there are rubber hose segments in the cooler lines, the hoses can sometimes partially collapse internally and not be visible externally. This usually only occurs on vehicles with high mileage.
4. Check the condition of the engine coolant and antifreeze. The anti-freeze and water mixture should test out to provide freeze protection to about 20 below zero. If the solution it too weak, adequate cooling may not be taking place. Old coolant can be contaminated and dirty, and also cause overheating of the transmission.
5. Check to make sure the engine radiator isn't obstructed by debris or dirty and that the radiator fan is working properly. You didn't say anything about engine overheating, so there probably isn't an issue with the engine thermostat or other engine cooling problem

What does it mean when my engine light comes on in my 2000 mercury sable

It means we have had check engine lights for over 33 years now,
& you have been somewhere off the earth & not in this world,
no way you never heard or know anything about vehicles you own
& drive or never had check light on & went to a repair shop

Google the question & read your owners manual, anyone's owner

1988 ford taurus wagon chimes everytime i go 45+ mph and the speed light flashes... what's wrong?

You probably have the speed reminder set to 45mph. It chimes & flashes to let you know you are speeding. It will tell you how to adjust it in your owners manual. If you don't like it set it high eg: 100mph. then it won't happen.

30mph beep

It means the current owner has set a speed warning, this can be set to beep at nearly any speed. It can be done through the vehicle following the owners manual. It is normal and more importantly can be turned off.

Warning light on instrument panel - see below description.

first inspect ur tires for nails, screws, etc...check ur tire pressure and adjust if necessary. put 32psi , drive it at 30 mph, and the light should go off by itself. if not u may have a tire sensor problem which u will need to take to ur local dealer or tire shop.
