Question about 2004 Chevrolet Colorado
Sometimes my truck wont start it turns over but wont start
My 2004 Colorado did this exact thing I thought it was the battery. But it was until some one told me it happened to their GMC also. He said its a the passlock. It is a passive theft-deterrent system.Passlock enables fuel if the ignition lock cylinder is turned with a valid key. He then told me i turned the key to fast and it didn't read it. If a correct key is not used or the ignition lock cylinder is tampered with, the fuel system is disabled and the vehicle will not start. If the engine stalls and the security light flashes, wait about 10 min until the light stops flashing before trying to restart the engin. And remember to release the key from start as soon as it starts.

Coryfrias solution is very reasonable but I have had the same problem with mine and my solution was to replace the cam and crank sensors, which can be done by the average person and is quite inexpensive(only about 50 dollars).
