Headlights My headlights only work on highbeam. They were working fine then they just stopped. It did it once before but were working fine the next day when I crank it up it has been 6 days now. I have changed the headlights had the fuses checked and the mechanic tested it and said there was no fire reaching something.

He switched the relays and when he plugged another 1 in and switched them around as we dimmed them it was no fire reaching the one he took out.

All I know is the mechanic went under the hood and he had me turn the lights on and go from high beam to low and keep doing it and he said he took the relays out that was the same and he switched it out with the one for the headlights and it still didn't work. I guess he was talking about headlight relay and it wasn't firing on low beam. High beam works fine, I have my lights set to run even in the day time and they worked fine all that day with no problem and when I got back in that night was when I knew they weren't working. I called a Isuzu service and the guy said it sounds like a relay, I don't know.

Hi Felishia, there is a recall for this issue, and is very very common. The recall doesn't include all years, but make no mistake about it, it affects ALL years. Go get yourself a replacement relay, #43 under the hood. The dealer only swaps out the relay, which eventually will go out also. I always keep an spare in the glovebox. In a pinch, swap relay 43 with #46 (same relay for your fan).

try changing both headlight bulbs. If that does not solve the problem then have the relay's checked.

SOURCE: low headlights do not work

Check your hi/low beam switch. It sounds like you are not getting power through the switch on low beams.

NO HEADLIGHTS OR HIGHBEAMS 'Nissan Pathfinder 1998'

You have two fuses powering the headlight switch, and the switch itself.
If both fuses have power, the switch would be suspect.
