Question about 1965 Ford Mustang

2 Answers

1965 mustang when you go about 10 mph my car darts left to right then at 20 mph you can not hold the car straight. the carlifts in the front, then it will not settle down then when you go down the road you can watch the right front tire start to roll in towards the center of the car. there are air shocks on the car when you raise the rear of the car it gets worse when you let the air out it gets better. there was a ball joint shim under the upper ball joint i removed that and also there was a camber shim under the upper control arm. i did remove all of the shims it did not change. ichecked all parts in the front end did change 1 upper ball joint and 1 outer tie rod.

Sounds almost like your front frame (Probably left side) is partially rusted through and flexing on you. Another thought is that some one has removed the stabilizer bar and never replaced it. Whatever, you definitely have some serious problems.
Hoe this helps!

Need to know the fuse sizes for a 65 mustang

Headlight switch has a built in circuit breaker (auto reset). Same with wiper.
ACCY (top fuse) is 14A.
HTR (left) is 14A
INST LT (center) is 2.5A
DOME (right) is 7.5A
CIG LTR (bottom is 14A)

Interior options (like radio and A/C) run off the stud on the back of the ignition switch and are separately fused (inline).

Cannot read fuse layout or value of fuses on 1965 Mustang with no a/c

most of the fuses for this car are 5-10-15-20 amp fuses.you should by a maintenance manual for this to have more information about your car.the fuse rating is usually on the end caps of the fuse and can be hard to see.

Need spark plug wiring diagram for 1965 ford

Try this. If the distributor is in the right way, the clips that hold the cap on should be just a hair off of 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. #1 is positioned at 1 o'clock, which is at the firewall side of the distributor. The firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8and is counterclockwise from #1. The passenger's side is cylinders 1-2-3-4, from the front of the car. The driver's side is 5-6-7-8 from the front. Hope this will help.

How do you remove the front seats from a 1965 Mustang? do you go up from underneath the car?

NO. there will be 4 bolts under each seat, pull the seat all the way forward and remove the rear 2 bolts at each end of the seat track, then push the seat all the way back and remove the 2 front bolts.

Torque specs for front spindle (nut hold brake drum in place)

Tighten till the wheel bearing is tight. No one really uses a specification for that, do it by feel. when the nut is tight, and there is no play in the bearing. Should be about 15-20 ft/lbs, with about .001-.003 end play if you need exact numbers though.

The car is darting to the left and right.

Check wheel alignment and suspension system components. You'll need to seek a professional in alignment procedures for this one and the equipment necessary to complete it. Hyundai Service Centers are equipped with all the special tools/equipment to do this. It could simply be negative (-) front toe, or a combination of Camber and Caster measurements (cross Camber) adjustments. Hyundai Parts department stocks (or can order) Camber kits & Service can install them if this is where the problem is.
