Question about 1996 Pontiac Sunfire

The car doenst wanna start

Hi, I bought this used pontiac sunfire 1996 car 3 day ago. It was fine till I got to home. but I found out that I have to change the battery cuz when I starter tha car it doesnt even making the clicking, I thought was the starter but I took it to autozone and they said it works fine. so, I replaced the battery with the new one. everything works fine like the head light but the car doesnt wanna start just make alitte sound and wont stay long. is there any body can help me please?

This sounds like the battery cables are bad, were they covered with white powder?

Sounds like the torque converter lockup is having issues im not certain on that model but the older ones had a plug down in the front square with four wires i believe you can unplug and it will work fine

My 96 sunfire leaks brake fluid. Its dripping from a mounting bracket under the car near the rear of the car on the drivers side

1996 Sunfire Pontiac 2.2 coupe. Auto transaxle slipping in reverse. Forward gears OK. How to fix?

Check the fluid level first . may wanna try sevicing fluid and filter. no adjustments or anthing you can repair without removing transmission.

96 sunfire gt wont start in morning but starts later in the day

try the cap. sounds like it is getting moisture in there and then when it warms up, it drys up and starts.

You did not say if your service engine light comes on or not, If that don't come on its hard to pinpoint the problem as it sounds electrical. And whatever i tell you would only be a guess. need more info to help.

Pontiac Sunfire 1998 - doesn't start engine - anti theft system locked

I had the same thing and I had to do the bump starter and wait 10 min. and do it again.I did this for about 15 times.I was told that it depends on how far out of sink it had become.hope that it works for you.I asume that you do not have a chip in you key.
