Need to know what fuse number

I have a 2001 VW Beetle- the lights for the temperature controls are out- where I turn on the heat and AC----- It is hard to see those in the dark and try to drive. I have tried to figure it out on my own. Can you please tell me what the symbol is or the number it is.

Fan is not coming on in my 2001 VW Beetle. Checked fuses and all are ok. Where do I go from here?

Bad fans are common. You can either turn the AC on to see if that will trigger them, or jump the thermo switch at the bottom of the radiator.

There is also a fan control module located in the area under the battery, but diagnosing this is difficult.

How to Check fan control module 2001 vw beetle? Power is getting to both 30A inputs but no output. In addition to both fans not working a/c clutch will not engage.

Sounds like your fan speed switch. I had the same problem. The fan speed switch is the main power switch to your AC. VW only sells the whole cluster wholesale around 150.00. Let me know if you need instruction on removing cluster.

Temperature light is flashing red, coolant is

fan relay is under the frame on the left by the fans. but most likely the fans themselves have gone bad check the fuse panel on top of the battery see if it is burned or blown fuse this is caused by the fans going from stop to high speed to many times. you will flat 40 or 50 amp flat blade fuse and both fans sorry for bad news
