hello, first of all you didn't say if trans auto or manual, I guess is auto Right!
If so, there's a solenoid for every gear, the solenoid may need ground or be replaced Anyways, before do that, I recomend you to check trans fluid and go to autozone for scan it,
even althought there's not any check engine light, there may be some saved codes already!
the only thing i can think of is the gas cap of could have set the fuel pump switch for the most part its back in the back behind a panel look in your owner manual and you should be able to find it if you have miss place your owner manual see if you can download one its www.edmunds.com if no luck call your local Gm-dealership in the parts department and they be able to tell you wish you the best of luck Michigan Man
You have to jack up the vehicle and get to the switch from underneath. The B/U lamp switch is located on the transaxle and has a connector going to it with two wires... a light green and a pink colored one.
